Should visitors know precisely what to expect prior to a hotel visit? How precisely should each standard be described?
How stringently should hoteliers be policed so that standards are adherred to? Does international standardisation prohibit the hoteliers from the urge to do better? Who determines what is better?
Is the hospitality industry clear on what the public means by standards? Are you clear on what constitutes a standard? What is a good example of a standard in your opinion?
What does the word standards mean? Is it a minimum, an un-changeable specification, a governmentally regulated regulation or law above or below which no-one can move? Does it describe a hard 'object' or a soft 'service'? Does it touch on shape, colour or texture?
Who should determine or create an international standard? How can an international standard be determined? Should an international standard displace a national standard.
Who should police them? How does one determine whether another slightly different standard is better or worse? Who does it....when, why and how often?
Who should pay for the change that has to be made to the product?
What is the punishment or penalty for not changing the product to comply with a standard?
